Freak I gotta bring you out to my buddy's place at Sheba Racing...he just finished dropping that motor in the same car. Ram air the whole works. 500 REAL horsepower...You would enjoy seeing his shop. He decorates his walls with fenders from all his Nascar crashes
I had a 67 grand sport for many years, rebuilt Buick 340 with a 2 speed powerglide....92 mph in FIRST gear. Man did that 4 barrel scream. I can still remember racing my buddy who had a 65 that we dropped a Pontiac 400 into with a Muncie 4 banger. He's beat me off the line but within 200' I'd smoke his ass the rest of the way down the strip
THEM were the days!

My old boss had a yellow GSX ... And I was able to drive it's spiritual successor, the GNX on several sideways-down-the-highway excursions

i usually do one a year in the winter.
keeps me outta trouble at night.
last year was an early 80's mercedes conv.
then 67 RS/SS camaro conv.
a bunch of chevelles, 442's. these chevy bodies are nice because parts are easy to get.
got the thing pretty much down to the metal today and it's a nightmare.
needs outter wheelhouses in the back. complete floor pan. inner rocker panels. plus some misc. patchwork arround the cowl.
ohh.. dont even ask about the roof got so much mud on it, i bet it floats.
