...What kind of guys spend their days shoveling rocks ???....
...Whats the pay-off??....
..Over this past weekend Tattoo and I decided to go to a local run that hasn't opened up lately. When we arrived it was barely trinkling water. We started on Saturday...and it seemed impossible and even pointless....but with thoughts of helping them spawn in order to keep our ecosystem healthy, we kept working....
..... I must add that another member, (Goose) stepped up to the plate today and was a great help (Great Guy too!!!)...We and the Herring THANK YOU!!...  ...he also showed up with some goodies..  ..but that didn't influence me in thinking he was a great guy.... 
...After days of shoveling, and working on areas that would fail due to the environment...we got rewarded!!! We were able to see the Herring actually attempt to travel up our manmade "Run"...meaning they were there, but if it wasn't for some concerned fishermen....they wouldn't have gotten in.
....I (we) are not looking for any kind of pat on the back here. We just hope that by sharing this story, that others will try to contribute to their ecosystem by helping out in any way they think possible. Sometimes we walk by something that needs our attention, but we leave it for the "other" guy. We should try to be that "other" guy.
