Check out my son's Pinewood Derby car/boat
He (and I) worked real hard on this over the last few weeks. As usual, he came in dead last in the race. But he won "Most Original"!!! Very happy kid!!! Figured the boating theme would work well here. Fortunately he is as addicted to fishing as his Dad is.

That is nice, it would have won if there were a boat catagory.
Brings back memories, at 39 I think I still have 3 derby cars kicking around. One of which won quite a few races and went a couple stages/events in the process. Of course its number was 5.....speed racer.

Looking at it again I know why it came in last.
The running lights are painted backwards No one knew whether is was comin or goin. Gotta get the paint back out.

Addict is an understatement for your kid Brandon. He was pretty funny that day with that 28#er I dragged up over the guard rail. He was petting it and stuff. That was too much. I hope I have a kid like that some day.
