Anyone use Jinkai line?

OK, after breaking off anumber of fish last year in rocks... I'm off braid. I know Ande Backcountry is a favorite here. Has anyone tried Jinkai Line. Not cheap, but looks promising.

i fish the canal and the rocks of elis.islands.i use berkles big game green ,strong and tuff line .good against rocks ,barnicals ,and snages. changing your line dont cost u 20 bucks .ialso usetec line .i like it for the beach w/ plgs or eels .i use booth fishing the cc canal.mono for casting plgs w/ a conv. tec line w/ fishin jigs, tins, or skins and the rubber swimmers.w/ conv. tec line takes time to master .noticeable diff. in feel and senseabity w/ tec line......

I use Jinkai for leader material on all my offshore stuff. Either 200 or 400 lb test. I also use their 80 or 100 lb test fro leader material for inshore and codfishing.

Jinkai 80 is my favorite leader for night fishing around rocks. Don't know if it would be worth it to spool up with a lower lb test....

I use 60 lb Jinkai leaders on the boat.

I just spooled up w/ the back country I'am going to give it a try this year, I have always used big game and never had any problems.I just hear that the ande back country is more abrasion resistent(sp)so I figure I give it a try.If I don't like it you can have my 3 1/4 # spools cuase then I'll be going back to big game.

I use Jinkei on some of the offshore lures I manufacture and on my own gear I run Berlkey Big game. I do recommend the Jenkei products. If Clammer sells it and I use it ?? must be good

if you are looking strictly for abrasion resistance, you should do a search for an article from sportfishing magazine from a few years ago. they did two separate tests, one with 8 lb line and a later article with 20 lb line. they tested tensile line strength, abrasion resistance, variance, and cost. for abrasion resistance one really surprised them:

original stren. i hate the stuff, but admittedly havent used it in years. here's what they said:

Specifically, for its diameter Mason Tiger Braid was our top line for toughness, with Western Filament's aptly named Tuf-Line a close second, based on mean cycles to break as a function of diameter. However, ranked third among all 85 lines was our top monofilament Stren Original (proving you can't always improve on a good thing) which far outlasted any challenger, falling just five cycles short of a phenomenal 1,300-cycle average to break. (Its thicker diameter accounts for an abrasion-strength rating slightly below the two braids.) Interestingly, Stren Original also scored very high in our 1998 abrasion test of 8-pound lines, finishing second.

I used jnkai for leaders and found it very soft. Had to retie often. Holds knots well and joins braid easily.
