Scupper plugs
Thinking about plugging all the cock pit scuppers. I have a constant 1-2" of h2o in the cockpit most the time, unless I am paddling my azz off. So I was thinking about plugging them up, obviously with something I can remove if need be.
So my question is, do others plug them up? I know I could just lose some of this winter layer hanging off my gut, but that ain't gonna happen...
I was thinking about cutting the plugs out of a pool noodle using a piece of copper tubbing to cut it to size...

I hear you. I was marginal weight for my T140 when I bought it last year. I've since added another 15#  . My scuppers are plugged with foam golf balls that I thinned out on a belt sander. They work OK but are kind of stiff/ non-resiliant so still need to be FORCED in. Looking for a better solution myself. |

I keep all 6 holes plugged on my t-140. Kayak fishing stuff has scupper plugs with cords attached for 6 bucks a pair. When you have to you just pop em out quick and thier tied off so you don't loose em.

Yeah pretty water tight, but lets face it kayaking buy nature is a wet sport, more so with a sit on top.

I seen they had some at REI in Hingham, They were the Ocean Kayak plugs. They look pretty flexible

The pool noodle is what i use. It works OK. YOu need to make sure you cut them about 1/8" larger than they need to be, and they tend to wear out quicker than the pre-made ones. One noodle can get you a ton of them so it only costs like 10cents per.
