I would check to see who has boats close to the areas you frequent.
For me it is Boat US they have boats all over the Cape.

The best coverage would be a 15hp kicker.
I've only had experience with sea tow, and they've done a good job each time.

Towing Tip
Just remember, don't throw your bait out until you get back to the dock. the only thing worse than breaking down, is breaking down without bait.

I've had SAFE/SEA for the last six years. Never had a problem, so I can't say. BUT, so far, so good!!!

I have used Tow Boat US, they were great in late April, on the south side of the Cape. But I agree with BigCat see who has the closest boats to where you are and where you go.

Doesn't really matter because Seatow and TowBoat US will reimburse you if they don't have a baot in the area and you have to use a different company.

Also heard that Safe Sea is good. Most of my boating will be in narragansett Bay, upper and maybe to Beavertail.

I have seatow but got towed in by towboat US. I did have to pay towboat US but i sent the recipt to seatow and they reimbursed me with no hassel at all. It states it somewhere on each services website. This is copied off of the towboat US site: "Even if you are boating in an area that does not support a TowBoatU.S. Service Provider, BoatU.S. will reimburse your commercial towing service up to your service level, $2,500 for Unlimited, when authorized by the BoatU.S. 24-hour dispatch center."
