North River

Anyone willing to toss me a thumbs up/thumbs down PM as to whether its worth a visit?

Its been a chore getting my captain out in his boat recently, so I want to choose carefully.

Check out the Baymen site:

http://baymenoutfitters.com/storenews/

I cut and pasted the most recent from yesterday.

Capt. Dave:
"Departed at 5AM Fri-Sun, calm conditions, great tides. Sporadic top water action in the North River, terns diving, very finicky schoolies. Tried my usual spots off the cliffs....nothing doing. Had a 9" sluggo bit off by a blue, lost what felt like a keeper after a short run on a 9" sluggo - spit the hook. With high expectations coming into the weekend, was left very discouraged and disappointed. I hope this doesn't mean I need to switch to chunking and trolling off the ledges....two of my least favorite types of fishing. Plenty of sand eels in the river. Well, we'll keep at it and hope things change for the better." - Steve

All the schoolies you could want. There was a 35lb fish taken last wednesday. This year the north and south rivers have seen there fair share of large fish. Don't bother up river stick towards the mouth, lots of bait.
