Why is it that folks don't post their location in their profiles ? Are you afraid of getting stalked? Wouldn't it be easy if you knew that someone maybe in your town or the next one over. Just asking.

Maybe they dont want to be bothered by people who live near them. I put mine in there so if a person saw where i live they may want to go fishing with me.

I think it's part of the overall "spot burning" phobia on this site.
I agree that spots shouldn't be burned, but it is taken to an extreme on this site, so I think people shy away from even posting towns. That said, the guys on this site are very forthcoming with general fishing info and techniques, so it kind of makes up for it.

i hate telling people im from manchester by the sea because I know its a very chi chi town and there are a fare amount of snots here..(some nice people too) and for the record our 900/month apartment fits in just nicely with all the million dollar mansions nestled around us. that being said I have a beach right down the street, and there are no complaints about that.

I do stick my pinky in up when I drink now for some reason

HA! You know I heard the residents of Manchester by the Sea, wanted the change it to "by the sea' so they would not be associated with Manch-vegas in NH...

Eiether way, I like Manchester by the Sea and wouldn't mind living there.... and love to fish there too.. you are a lucky dude in my book. Even though my screen name is Rockport that is wishful thinking.... I really live in Melrose....
my grandfather lives in Rockport so I basically grew up there...

i didn't say i didnt feel lucky... believe me, I say that every time we walk down the street.

we were watching a fly fishing show and there were these three guys...very famous around here i guess in the fly fishing department and the show took them up and down 127. part of me thought it was cool to see my beach on there the other part made me panic a little

HA! I saw that show! One was Dave Miscus (sp?) I think? He writes some articles for another striper site. It was pretty cool to see the haunts on a national show on OLN...at least they didn't land any cows though, then it may have been an issue.

oh and I wasn't implying that you didn't appreciate machester...ahh...this damn internet screws things up!

I'm here in Dartmouth.

Anyone going out to Lucas's Shoal this Sunday?

If so I'll be out there around 6 a.m. I'll be the guy with a c.c. with the word Quest on the sides, if you're out there stop by and say hello.

Insanity is a long and winding road ... I think I finally made it there.
