tiverton spots

No no no, not fishing spots. Gimmee your lunch spots, as I maybe taking a job transfer to work there. Trading 16 years on night shifts and a 42 mile commute to a 15 minute ride on back roads and a 7:30 A.M. start time!

Are there any good little soup and sandwich or diner-type places? What about a quick clam roll? Good hot dogs?? Oh yeah, and how is the ice coffee at that coffee chain (name escapes me) dubbed the canadian DD?? I am a turbo cream 1 kind of guy...

Well, if you like a little better coffee, we're fortunate to have a nice place right on main called Coastal Roasters.

As for lunch, there's not a ton...but a few good ones along the water.

On the south end is the Four Corners Grill, decent food at a slightly above average price.

Moving north is Evelyn's...only ok food but good for chowder and fritters. Caters more to the tourists...

Then comes The Stone Bridge Restaurant...good comfort food at an ok price...has recently tried to go upscale so beware of some higher priced items.

Moving into north Tiverton right before Grand Central is a great little greasy spoon called Family Ties open for breakfast and some lunch I believe. Good breakfest food cheap.

One of my favorite places is Buddy's just north of the fire station. Great local cusine at a good price.

I used to live right down the street from Buddy's. Used to make almost a nightly walk up there for a couple of cold ones. That was quite a few years ago though.....'88

Yeah, Tim Horton's that's it. The ice coffee on the sign looked tasty, but I have never heard of them before I went nearby there for my interview the other day. I'm not as picky about my ice coffee but when
I make the switch (first frost or so) I'll be checking out that place Spence mentioned. I assume they sell beans there? Roasted on site?

I will check them all out in time. Lep, I could be in any part of town on any given day. (in rain, sleet, snow, etc.)

I have checked out about 3 or 4 fishin spots before I even knew this job
was available as alternatives to the beach down the street from me, which has been munged up since Sept.

Being new in the office I am going to may require me to go to other offices on occasion (Bristol, Newport...) so my fishing recon will be off the charts.

I can't believe I am finally off the night shift!

Yep, they do beans as well as brewed coffee and made to order coffee drinks...

It's actually a very nice local business.
