Mega-Bait to close!
Pace Products Inc., the manufacturer of Megabait Lures has notified us that due to the costs of fighting litigation over a long period of time, they must now close.
The web site is down on June 29th. I wounder if someone else will pick up this product line of stuff.
This SUCKS! IMO they are one of the best production lure and jig companies out there.

I don't know but that would be my guess too. The main supplier for this stuff does not have much inventory left. If you like a particular megabait product and you see it on the shelf...buy it. You may never see it again. I am hoping someone else pics up the product line, I use several of their products, namely JB150 plugs, jigs, bucktails, and couple tuna items I could live without because there is so much to choose from in this area but the others will be painful. They make a sweet bucktail and a great jig.

I just started using their metal (thanks Mr Sandman) and they are nice strong metal lures. I will be stocking up hopefully the price will drop so I can buy more.

I never had much luck on the JB150 before. My guess is now that they are discontinued, I'll end up liking them.

Got an email from a company that deals with megabait this morning. (extremelures) I had asked several questions (and placed a big order of stuff I use, they said they would try and fill it as best they can given the inventory issues) Below is the comment regarding my questions about what will happen to the company...
Regarding the company - I do not know what is going to happen. All I know is that they are going out of business and that their office will close this week.
I have not heard any information regarding their megapoints system.
