Sox Game Grump!

Went to the game last......night tickets were free! Thats where the happiness ends!!

1) The seats left me with welts on both hips because they are only big enough for a 12 year old!!!

2) I could at no point get "into" the game as I had to keep jumping up and down to let these freakin idiots pass......I don't mind getting up a few times....but this party of 4 spent more time getting up to get food, beer, have a butt, than they actually spent watching the game!!! I must have gotten up minimumm 15 times for these idiots!! That does not include other folk!!

3) Cell phone idiots must die!!!! I had people, alot of them, just talking on the cell phone to others right there in the stadium waving their hands saying..."can you see me"???? Is it really necessary to be on the damn cell phones at a sporting event?!?!? Seems to me a ball game these days is more of a social event than a sporting event......nobody was watching the game!!!!

4) Oh and of course....as usual....I get the pre-requisite little kid screaming non-stop behind me about 18 inches from my F-in ear!!!! That was fun!!! Seems like I always get that kid behind me!!!

5) People who do the wave must die!!! Every time there was a hit by the Sox I had to look around someone with their foolish arms up in the air to do the wave to see the play!!!!!!

6) Nobody says "Excuse Me" any more???? When people need to get by you they just stare at you instead of giving a little courtesy "Excuse Me"....when they make you have to get up to let them by.....no manners any more!!!

Going to a game is not nearly worth it and not like it was when I went alot years ago! Back then it was all about the game and watching the game! Now its all tourists who go only because someone who owns season seats gave them the tickets....I would like to know how many season tickets are corporate owned at Fenway.....cause I heard most of the folks saying thats how they got the tickets....the average Joe can't get any tickets for a game as a result of this....they have to get them the same way I did...from a generous friend!!!

I would rather stay home and watch the game on TV!!!

Oh! Sox also lost so......that sucked!!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

In reality though Larry, some people suck. Of course not everyone. But a small percentage of the population that makes up for everyone else. But you can't sweat the small stuff man.

A short story here BF. Humor me and read it. I hate Chrstmas shopping more than anyone else on the planet. I hate traffic, I loath the parking lots and I generally do not enjoy being around pushy people while shopping. I actually pay my sisters to shop for me. Several Christmas' ago I went to Soloman Pond Mall to pick up a few last minute trinkets. I saw a young male in a wheelchair pushing his way through the mall shopping. He was by himself, had a few bags of goodies and I noticed a huge smile on his face. He had no use of his legs but still he was smiling.

So don't sweat the small stuff man. You have your health and you can walk. Many things in life are annoying but in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't really matter does it?

Uncle Matt....I use a similar story to shake the crap out of my head once in awhile when I am having a bad run of luck! Here is my story!

I am driving through Quincy Center one time a few years ago......I see this poor guy in a wheelchair, an electric wheelchair, and he is steering it around with his nose!

I think of that gentleman when things are going rough for me......I quickly remember I don't have nearly as bad as some!

People still suck though and I am not a huge fan of crowds!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

I haven't been in a very long time. Mostly because of the foul mouthed boobs in the stands screaming at the players. I like a little well razing if it has real humor, but screaming obscenities just won't work with me. My Paint supplier used to give us a whole row right behind Home and the players wives. Speaking of jerks ruining great entertainment, have you tried a drive in movie lately?

Last time I went to Fenway, Luis Tiant was facing Jim Palmer

If you had two box seats season tix - good seats - you could scalp them and make over 40K a year...
