palm treo active sync and exchange 2003

I know there are a few network guys on here so maybe, just maybe, one of you has had this problem.

Im dealing with a treo 650 palm version, versa mail 3.1 and exchange 2003.

When setting up the Microsoft active sync and testing the connection, I get a "SUCCESS" but then when I actually try and sync this specific user account I get "problem connecting to the server"

I tryed setting up my user account on this phone and it works no problem. I am sure her username and password are correct... triple checked that and the port settings.

Anyone ever run into this? I know its a long shot but other than reseting the phone and starting from scratch i'm out of ideas.
