Thumbs up

I used to drive from my office in Mattapoisett to Fall River to the Ukranian Club for lunch! The Kielbasa plate with potato Pierogies, Galumkis, cabbage and onions witha bowl of spicy Kapusta soup for a starter. God I miss that place, had some neat old fish mounts on the wall too.

Why even try.........

My parents house,
Don't know of any good restaurants or deli's in RI. Althoughh my mom isn't Polish my dad is 100% and his mom, god rest her soul, taught my mother all her family recipes before her passing. Now I have a craving for some perogies and kielbasa and horseradish.

I heard Buddy's in Tiverton took over the Ukes's menu. Don't quote me though. I just got back from Chicago where I hit a good Polish deli before I came home. I came back with some frozen pierogies and a few different types of kielbasa. The Uke had the best golumpkies though. They did'nt serve it with a tomato sauce which everyone else seems to do. I liked ketchup on my Uke golumpkies. They had a good black diamond steak too.

I'd drive to Tiverton, if what I hear is true.

I miss the Uke. $.80 drafts and worth every penny.
