The real problem, he says, is "an overpopulation of striped bass. We think the striped bass are eating all the juveniles."

http://www.menhaden.org/news_paradise%20creek.htm

"The $50,000 grant from Omega Protein, the leading commercial fishing employer in Vierginia, will be matched with federal funds and used to help clean up Paradise Creek on the Chesapeake Bay."

Talk about the irony

Save the Pogies

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Too many stripers. Next'll be space aliens. In the late 1800's there were so many stripers that ferry riders from NYC to the South Shore used to amuse themselves by shooting them and there were plenty of bunker then (not mention river herring). You want a report, all you have to do is pay for it.......

You tell Slip! If th bass were eating all the pogie fry then the bass would populate the shallow harbors and coves more, because thats where the juvies can be found.
