Need help saving pictures please!

I have some pictures of my mom and dad (back when I was a kid) having a good night fishing the canal, well I have 3 pictures that I cannot copy or photoshop to save them and was wondering if I could get some expert help here.

My buddy came over the other day with his kids and while we were working on my boat his kids were amusing themselves in my den, well turns out they pulled out a photo album with pics of my parents holding some stripers and they decided to draw on the pictures with ball point pen, I think they've ruined the pictures for good but was hoping maybe to get some advice here on how to try and save them.

Anyone know how to remove pen ink without wiping out the pics for good?

Any suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks in advance!
