terrible time of year to have a bad back
I have a job to get out and I am laying down with heat and ice and resting my lower back. I can't even stretch it, can't stand up or walk
I need to take better care of my body I guess

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.
1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!
It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Slip, like Karl says, it comes and goes along with the age thing.
Try your stretching before you get out of bed in the morning,
sometimes helps.
Raven can help ya.

Bruce, see a doc if you can. I have problems all the time. Some times a hight dose of anit-inflamatry drugs will heal it up quickly. I've been debating about seeing a chiroprator. Getting out out bed every morning is painful.

get well soon slip
sometimes you can see a chiropractor and
get straightened out... after an adjustment
slip, this is how you can do it yourself...
you lay on the (carpeted)floor....or preferably on a pad...
on your back.....
then you slowly cross one (right)leg over to one side
while you try and reach with your (left) arm to the
other (opposite) side...
and do it both ways until you find
that hot spot...where ya can't move or git there....
without making the pain worse....
thats your present range of motion....and you slowly
try to approach that unreachable territory and you might
suddenly feel something pop back into place....
the best therapy though is to use hydrotherapy ...stretching
in the shower....trying to touch your toes (very slowly)
eventually you can teach yourself
how to do self -chiropracting...
kinda like a combination lock....
you can find a way to dial your own
combination after experimenting....
hope you feel better soon...

back strain and vitamin E
anytime i hurt my back.....
and thats in the hundreds of times now
i always up my vitamin E suppliments
like i'll take 5 400 units at a time...
because E governs your muscles health
and the back has the most muscle layers
it really helps....trust me on that...
the thing that screws ya up ...is you end up
altering your posture to keep from having pain
and breaking out of that favoring ...change.
if you can get to a jacuzzi .....go for it!

I've posted some stuff about chiropractors in the past - do a search w/ my username (here & SOL).
I would have done a lot of things I would have seriously regreted IF it hadn't been for the chiropractor IMHO. I go once a week now and i wish I could make the time to go twice a week!
Many have wellness plans where you pay a flat rate/month and you can go one twice a DAY if you wanted to when they are open and it is the same charge if you were to go just once/week.
Now a days when my back does act up - generally it is STRESS related.
Take it easy - old injuries compound over time.... the best you can do now is stop it from getting worse, Bruce. If you want to talk more about it shoot me a pm and I call ya on my cell.
