Ditch 10-9-06

Beautifull night and morning on the Canal. My brother and I fished it from 1:00am to 8:30am ..Not allot to show...2 shorts and 1-36"..... I did have some BIG mother (Not sure what it was Bass-Tuna -Shark.???) missed my plug in about 3' of water near the bank...If any of you were in the area you know what I am talking about because just about every one ( cape side and mainland) asked "what the F--- was that".......The fish put up a 2' wake of water and all I could see was a huge black back.....It was apretty cool thing to see.....

Fished the west end all day 3 small stripes biggest 29". Did pull out a dogfish almost 4 ft long. This was at 2pm never caught those in the middle of the day there but anyways big fish were breaking all over at low slack but they were just past the maritime in buzz bay. Not too productive considering how long I was out. Guy next to me said he saw one of those Sunfish too but when he called for me it was under.

Funny, I fished the east end last night and had no trouble finding fish. The largest topped out at 41.5 inches and 22lbs 5 oz.
When I got there at low, there were quite a few guys fishing from Pip's eastward. I fished from 7:30 until 10:30, and had the entire east end to myself from 9:00 on.
Although the fall run doesn't seem to be in full swing just yet, there were some racers that were very cooperative.
