SO....How'd everyone do?
How did the fishing go? I'm sure the cookout went well but we need to hear about the catching not the cooking.
zzzzzzzzzzz

2 Rats here, don't know about anyone else. 1 on Yozuri Crystal Minnow , 1 eel. It was a long ride home got home at 445am. Ran into Fisherwoman, and BC at the 7-11 up the street. They were just heading out.

I didnt find any ! And from what I heard not too much catching . I may not have heard right though ! I didnt make the cookout . I got there around 7:30 pm and started fishing at around 9:30 . Fished the narrow river , great island bridge and looked at the short wall in Galilee then finished up at Quonnie breachway ( inside ).

Not much happened where I went. Threw plugs and eels from 7-9:30 with no bites. The cookout was incredible though. What a great bunch of people we have here. Looking forward to the cape leg. Hopefully I'll be able to hook something besides seaweed salad!

Between four of us we managed 1 rat(Matoonoc). I stayed out til almost 11:00pm but denis and Matoonoc were still goin strong. Great cook-out though and I'm hooked on that strawberry shortcake! In the excitement to get out on the beach I forgot to say good bye to some(apologies). Great to meet you guys and looking forward to the next leg.

Well, from what I know, Redcrbbr leads in the skate division with three, one monster. Milo leads in the bluefish division with one at about 2 lbs. I lead in the crab division, with one about 8" across. (Though John said he got one on an eel!) In fact, first cast, I had a double header! Crab on bottom and skate on top.
But as of about 1 AM back at the shop, hadn't heard of any of our striped friends, other than the couple small ones Specialist got....
Anyway, the cookout was awesome, it was a nice night, and we had a good turnout. It was a lot of fun, seeing the regulars, and a lot of new faces....
Thanks, everyone!

after a night in the tent
nothing saturday night, but after a good nights sleep in the tiny tent. i walk napatree both sides (inside)high tide going out. and (outside) on the return trip hooked just one small schoolie on the inside with the same yo yuri crystal minnow.
and, like veryone else the cook out seems to have been the best part. it was nice to put faces to name, even if i'll need to do the same thing all over again at the next leg, you know how it goes meet 27 people remembering only so many.
well that was a blast
and will be looking forward to the next leg.
til then

Sorry to hear you guys didn't fare well....
..but these legs should be more about fun, than anything else....and it seems you had plenty of that....AND FOOD TOO!!!.... ....As long as everyone had a SAFE and fun time, thats all that counts....
...We did a little scouting at Cuttyhunk this morning... IT LOOKS GREAT!!! ...We didn't get into much action either, if that makes you feel any better!! ... ...but I had a great time with the boyz.....AGAIN!
I'm hoping that this upcoming weekend we have some light Southwest winds, cuz it was snarly this morning......there was this strong Nor-Easter -ly wind threatening me, wanted to break off my claws .... ...
nice to meet you chet!! ....

Pretty slow night. Smokey and I fished a couple spots till about 11. I ended up with 3 schoolies on bottle plugs and Smokey lost one in the rocks. Had a great time at the cookout. Great to meet everyone. Hope to see everyone again at the next leg.

i didn't even get so much as a hit. granted, there isn't a lot of bait around, but the light show at didn't help! am i the only one that can fish without my headlamp on all the time? i don't mean to piss anyone off, but come on! i see a fish caught, and four lights get put on the fish, the rocks, and the surrounding water!

Scotch, Denis and I got squat after you left us at the short wall. We fished the eels till past midnight, but not so much as a hit. Beautiful night, too bad. Chris L, was that you in the big pick-up that came in the lot at about 11:30?
I knew I should have measured that rat I got at Pt. Judith, sounds like I could have been in first place!
Great to put some faces to the names, hope to make the next leg

Fished to the left of Quonny, weed every cast. Joe Angler reported about the same at Weekapaug Point. Had a cold beveradge with Joe and watched these "Bass Pro" fishermen use a trolling motor in a spot you could cast across.
Oh yeah, and they had every light on they could in the boat!
Nice meeting ya Joe. Go buy some jigs for the next leg.

I had three fish to the west of Weeapaug Point on Redfins. One was 28". I fished with Joe from Bradford. Hope you caught them Joe. Fished till dark then had to beet feet so I could be home by 1030. Great cookout. Great bunch of guys (and gals). Food was awsome. Thanks to all who manned the grills.

Later in the night, we wound up a little west of you DZ, fortunately, no weeds on eels like at Weekapaug Point (many weeds on the few casts with a surface swimmer) but unfortunately no fish.
Woulda liked seeing Tyson getting KO'd...

Wind was too fierce to do any productive fishing on Saturday.
We stayed in close and fished a couple of rockpiles, that produced a few shorts.
Thats about it.
Might blow a day off from work this week, but the weather looks crappy, so maybe not!!!
