The price is comparable to DSL. As others have said they have not got it in every area yet. I heard that they were not going to do any Cape towns, but that is just a rumor. available in Marshfield, Braintree, Abington, Rockland, Parts of Hanover on the South Shore. I think Wareham as well.

I am getting the employee plan, but Verizon Local , and unlimited domestic long distance for like 30 bucks a month, and another 34 for 15meg computer ain't too shabby. I can't wait for the Video, say bye-bye comcast....

I signed up for FIOS internet and the TV package. The guy explained to my wife that they would be doing the DirecTV over the FIOS (which was what I was waiting for) and scheduled the appointment. I dumped my COX cable TV in anticipation (40% cheaper with Verizon). My wife took the day off of work for Verizon to show - they never did . 2 days later the dish guy shows up to put in sat dishes. I asked why this wasn't going over FIOS and the guy said not yet... Am pissed...

John they are not offering video over the fiber in all of the towns yet. It has to do with liscensing from each individual town. So until they get it they will set you up with a dish. That sucks that you waited all day, and no one showed. I know they are very busy with this stuff, and they are missing alot of committments.

Bill. When do you think the video will be offered in this area? Adelphia/Comcast is horrible.

Yes - for all of the problems with COX they do dispatch well.

As for the dish deal, they need to express that better. I canceled my COX TV expecting to flip over to FIOS. I have a problem with satelite dishes getting line of sight

Question

Bill.. what has the big V got against the cape, anyway?.. we barely get a decent phone signal.. lines are antique, and patches on patches.. almost at the level of a string between two dixie cups, as far as signal.. we are overdue Big Time, for a full upgrade of lines.. and service down here... always seem to be on the end of the line, with the big V....

Karl I hope it comes to your area soon. I converted a while back and It is great. I use them for Cable, Land line, Internet and wireless. All on one bill and the service beats the hell out of RCN. Saved a good bit of $ also.

The internet really is fast. TS -- use Firefox, the FIOS is so fast Internet explorer has trouble keeping up. Firefox also has some cool features also.
