Penn International 955 quetion.

I need to remove the left sideplate from the 955 I found washed up on the beach a few weeks back to replace the left bearing. How exactly is this held in? Is it held by bolts or does it unscrew from the main body? I tried to simply pop the bearing out without removing the sideplate, but the plastic gear is in the way.

All set. There were 3 little screws inside the reel that needed to come out.

It might help if you download a schematic for the reel. Saves a lot of aggravation.

If this link upsets any sponsors, let me know. It has all the Penns made listed with schematics and sells the parts too. Got the 955 schematics off here. I don't know that any of our sponsors are big Penn dealers, so I hope this is cool.
