Went for schoolies yesterday... got pounded by the surf, caught a few schoolies and then I saw it... a school of bluebacks being pursued, tied on a blue/silver danny landed a 25# fish on my second cast. Saw a huge bass cutting throug the waves but she wouldn't take. Headed down the beach, more bait a 21# fish. Caught several other bass from dinks to 30". Can't beat that for Nov 31st... I mean 30th

Dave, posts like this make me want to make a little road trip to my old neck of the woods. My family is from Middletown and that's where I'll be for XMass eve. Maybe I'll have to sneak down there before then. Nice work, sounds like fun. Glad folks are still going strong.

We were pretty surprised to find them. We hit another spot on the night tide NOTHING... went back to the same spot... NOTHING. But it was a great time. Watching those herring jumping 2ft out of the surf with slurps all around... pretty cool.

It will be interesting to see what happens with this weather, as it is going to get nasty over the weekend.

If those gannets were diving... there was bait for sure, they don't practice . We had no gannets but lots of herring.

went down there today

same thing going on

arrived 8:30 am........just got home

36 fish

blues so fat and BRIGHT silver they look like salmon (15 lb range)

bass up to 25 lbs

blue/silver bottles did the trick

these fish all had sea lice

all 10 feet in front of you

saw four rods get busted

herring washed up on the beach, pick them up, hook them, throw it out...........BAM.......FISH ON!!!!

I'm exhausted

awesome
this is what the fall run should have been like

probably the best single day of fishing i have ever had with the amount and size of fish caught

ps....saw a 7 year old kid land a 34 lber.......pretty awesome

Jim, Dave, PM me pleeeeese. I could talk myself into a roadtrip right about now.....just need to have a destination as this sounds like unknown territory for me.

ya killing me

but good for you guys

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Well that wind cranked last night... and I'm fearing the worst. It's been the story of my Fall this year, everytime it gets hot it F*(&@@(ng blows 50, last night I think it may have blown 70+, just got to work and half the roofs shingles are in the parking lot! Give it a few days to settle and we'll see.
