weekend fishing

I will be fishing out in Boston Harbor on Saturday. Is anyone going to be fishing out by Boston light or in the vicinity. "Got Stripers" will you be out there? fisherwoman? john R ? Anyone else with a boat from the board. I thought it would nice to try and recognize some of you from the board on the water. I'll be the guy in the Proline holding the rod with the drag peeling on the south side of the lighthouse. I think we are going to have a good boating weekend.

RE:weekend fishing

Hi Mr Kav, yes we will be out there early tomorrow, going out at 5, you can't miss the fish out there right now, they are everywhere, there were acres of fish yesterday all over Nantasket beach to Pt Allerton and beyond, bass and blues, we got 7 or 8 nice blues yesterday to 12 lbs, and well over 70 bass, 2 fish at 31" the rest were under but hitting hard. All top water is what was working yesterday. Chrome creek chubs, Gibbs pencil poppers and Yo-Zuri mag Poppers in the Sardine pattern. For some strange reason I was supprized that they would take any shads yesterday, was very strange. Anyway if you are out there we monitor channel 69, name of the boat is The Alternative, its a 20 ft Lund Alaskan, Blue. Keep an eye out for us, or give us a shout. Tight lines!!!

RE:weekend fishing

Thanks for the advice. I have always wanted to troll along nantasket beach towards scituate but never got around to it. Maybe I'll drag some baits in that area tommorrow. After that big fish at Harding's the other day I have no choice but to throw an eel or two over there but I think that I will save that for the dark.

RE:weekend fishing

Hi all, I'll be out there tomorrow early. My fishing buddy who had to miss the action in Hull last weekend is all pumped up to get in on the action. I was going to hit the Hull Gut area again, but by the sounds of things the action is good outside as well. Fisherwomen is it still hot inside or has a lot of the action moved outside? I'd love to get a ride in the Alaskan, I'm really trying to scrape enough money together for a bigger ride this winter or early spring and that's the boat I was going to look at first. Probably in the center console, plenty of horsepower (never know when you'll need it, maybe wired for the newer 36 volt trolling motors and if I can swing it a smaller kicker.

Will you be outside or inside tomorrow? I'll keep an eye out for you, you do the same. Usually I launch in Scituate are work the ledges north to Cohasset. I've never run outside from Hull before, is it much of a run from the Gut outside to Nantasket? I'll have to break out the charts and check it out. Don't have a VHF radio, but carry a cell phone, do you have a cell phone I can call you on? If so pop me an email with the number.

Hope everyone has a good morning, maybe we will see each other tomorrow, tight lines.

RE:weekend fishing

Hey Got Stripers, from what I heard yesterday the fishing was also good inside, over by Deer Island and the airport, and off specticle. I really don't think you can go too wrong right now, either way you go, we will be heading outside in the am most likely as we had some pretty decent size fish out there yesterday. But all depends on what happens on the way out, we put in at town river, just off of fore river, and start our way out, so will be looking for those birds. email me and I will give you our cell phone #
julbil@mediaone.net we will call you, or you can call us, tomorrow we will be out until about 9 and dropping people off and then going back out. Hope yo see ya tomorrow guys!!!!

RE:weekend fishing

Got Stripers, Nantasket is a very short run from the gut, it is just around the corner of Pt. Allerton.

RE:weekend fishing

Hey Got Stripers its not that far of a run from the Gut to Nantasket maybe three to four miles to the North end of the beach. This shoreline can hold some good fish but watch the rocks closer to shore. Pt. Allerton is a good spot that holds some big fish fromm time to time and just South of the beach there is a lot of rocks and structure.

RE:weekend fishing

Thanks for the update, I hope we bump into each other at some point tomorrow. I'll be the guy with the bent rod and the big smile on his face, you won't miss me....lol. I'll be the one in the Basstracker Tournament V-17 aluminum V-hull, which is now a center console. Pretty distinctive looking boat, only one of it's kind since I converted it about 3 years ago.

Good luck tomorrow, may you catch numbers and size as well, tight lines.
