Not a Striper, but at 36-1/2" and at 21lbs it could be

My third Salmon over 20lbs in the last 6 years. The fish was caught with a Kastmaster and on 6lb test. I have never had a fresh water fish peel 175yrds of line like this fish did, not even the 22lb 14oz salmon I caught a couple years ago took this much line. The fight took a 1/2 hour, but the story behind the fish is even crazier. If anyone wants to read it you can check out my fishing report on my site...Sorry to long to post right now. Basicly I hooked this fish on new years day and after a 15min battle my line broke at the reel due to crap line. after this I hooked the trailing line 4 times in two days and on the last time the fish got me into some wood. I evn had my brother bring his diving equip to see if he could free the fish, but by the time he got donw there the fish had rested again. Well this past wekend I caught that monster fish and it still had my lure in it's mouth. It was officially weighed at The bait shack in Orleans and was 21lbs ..36-1/2" long with a girth of 21"...This fish shatters both IGFA & Hall of fame records, so we'll see what happens.

Roy you never cease to amaze me
Congratulations!

That is an awesome accomplishment to say the least

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

Thanks guys. Im still on some crazy high from all this. What a rush. It's not even the size of the fish but the turn of events that came with it. In the end persistence paid off which im sure had some luck and an angel or two over my shoulder.

Great job, great fish, and a great story. I didn't know those ponds had salmon, never mind monsters like that.

No, no, no. we’re 30… 30, three zero.

Thumbs up congrats bigtime RoyL

but hey.... i know you have it posted on your site...and all.....

But, you could get paid for that story if you sold it
to say a trout specific Magazine.... especially the whole business of
re -snagging your broken stretch of line days afterward WOW!
thats SOOO unusual , i've never even heard or read of such a thing.

so in otherwords your story has to go public in a big way...
television... the works -> man.

Go for it... all the way... call some networks....
->David letterman call his office....
soon you'll have lotsa new fishin Gear $$$$$$$
