Digital kitchen scale, Bed Bath and Beyond- $10.

In thinking about it, a postal scale would prolly be more accurate.

I got fancy. I drilled a hole in the middle of a stick and tied some line to either end. I put the plug on one end and sinkers on the other until it balances out. Then I add up the numbers on the sinkers. I busted my last scale(knocked it off the table) and didn't feel like buying another.

And how do you know the sinkers are right? Most are marked, but the weight is approximate.

Isn't a Triple Beam what you order at Last Call?

ahhh.... The OLD Triple Beam Balance

Standing on the water, casting your bread
While the eyes of the idol with the iron head are glowing
Distant ships sailing into the mist
You were born with a snake in both of your fists while a hurricane was blowing
