Plug Bag Shampoo Bottle Inserts

Here are a few photos of shampoo bottle inserts for surf bags. I use two different sizes of bottles depending on the bag and size of plugs. I also keep them in my plug totes. Cut off top of shampoo bottle and poke holes into bottom of bottle - punch the holes downward from the inside of the bottle to facilitate draining. You can mix and match different size bottles to different size bags. Wrap the bottles together with duct tape.

if you or anyone in your house uses contact lenses then the large saline solution bottles work well, there a good size for most plugs.

I have been known to use empty caulking tubes..... as I seem to have a seemingly endless supply...

I wouldn't use the clear shampoo bottles, they don't seem as sturdy as the others. In fact I have about 15 suave bottles I decided not to use. If anyone wants them, PM me and I'll send them to you.

And just go to any tennis club for the tennis ball containers. They'll collect a whole bag for you in no time... even used tennis balls if you can figure out what to do with a hundred of them!

The shampoo bottles work great. back in the "old days" we use to by old gas mask bags at the Army Navy store and use the shampoo bottles for the plug inserts. Seems what comes around goes around over and over

No boat, back in the suds.

Maybe you folks aren't aware of it but we do offer the inserts we have made for the bags seperately at very reasonable prices. It may not be worth the trouble of making your own. Just thought I would let everyone interested know....

I used an over the shoulder duffel bag from Benny's with two Plano boxes in it for years...
Into the duffel went the korkers, the Plano boxes, my fish rope and coat, wading belt and thermos full of "Fishing Tonic"
(Fishing Tonic was concoction of coffee and four crushed up No-Doz tablets and about a dozen teaspoons of sugar - meant to sharpen you up and get you ready for a bit of the ultra-fishing.)
I'd chug down my tonic, march through a private neighborhood on the double time, suit up, and fish like a motherchucker.
All the gear in the world pales in comparison to an obsessed skinny guy.

Fellows,
Poland spring water bottles with the top cut off work real nice and they are very light. Have one of my Dad's gas mask bags that works good too. Blue collar ingenuity was passed down to me by Pop.

PS. No tennis and no hair! LOL
