Stellwagon Bank

Did a bottom fishing trip East of the bank. Caught lots of cod and haddock getting my largest cod to date at 31 lbs. No tuna around but saw a world record class mako that cleared the water three times less than 100 yards away! I was amazed and scared especially when my buddy started to rig up the tuna rod for it. Thank god it disapeared.

Congratulations Tony, that is a big cod!

Ya good thing you didn't hook up with the mako, you would have been doing a Nantuket sleighride for sure and lucky if you had enough gas.

No cod for me just haddock! Mr. Kav saw some boats further east and we heard three gunshots so we figured there were some sharks around. We are fairly new at the bigger stuff but will be trying for tuna soon. We passed the BE bouy and there were no boats and I think the fleet is around P-town and Chatum.
