S-B feeding and hanging around pattern are changing ...

Hi-S-B friends:

I have been fished three times in the past two week, and I found the feeding around pattern of S-B in the river has been changed.

I suspect that:

1. The "good size bass" are hanging around the deep ledge near river mouth and only comming to feed around the river mouth in the incomming tide (two 34" caught at such time)
2. schoolee (<30") still hanging in the river and out-going is still good
3. Night time fishing is essential to catch the good size of fish currently

4. Big Fish are actually inactive in feeding and they must lose their appertize for a while (no bait fish in their stomach)

P.S. any comment will be welcome!

Hi IRL:

I used fresh herring instead yesterday and I havn't got chance to use Mac strips. I will use it once I have fresh mack in th future.

Yesterday, I have more than 10 hits within three hour windows and I caught 8 schoolee, the biggest one is around 27"
Since the thunderstorm, I did not try incomming tide, besides the wave is terrible ...

I have half-2-half loss due to (I suspect)

1. the fish is too small (jig and trembling without strong pull)
2. my bait is too big (may be)
3. my fish finder rig is actually tangles at the rock bottom (I feel tembling and I reel it in the cutted herring is gone with so minor action or I reel it in and found the fish is gut-hooked --what is going on)

PS: a. I am thinking to replace the fire line that I am using
b. I found Daiichi circle hook is quite good for a slow response people like me
