What's your timeline?

I like to get in around mid April. Gives me some time to get things squared away, fix issues and maybe find some cod etc... I need to
install a new transducer and some basic spring cleaning but I think
I'll make it. Just as long as it doesn't frickin snow again.
How 'bout you?

About the same. I need a weekend to compound and wax the hull. maybe one more day to retouch the bottom paint and rezinc. everything else can be done after she goes splash.

I want to be in by mid April but it looks like it won't be until early May. I'm waiting for my application from Southie and then I have to go through all the motions and get my mooring dropped.

The boat is set. just needs a coat of paint and a thermostat.....

Worst case I'll launch and retrieve it in Weymouth.

I'm happy with the first week of May. Early may schoolies are great on the south side of chatham so I'd like to be able to use the light tackle on them for a bit. I'll tie it up to the mooring in early to mid june though.

Looking for last week in April, but got a list a mile long and opening the shop next week so we'll see.

Changing out the throttle cable from my inside helm station, always fun doing the squirming around thing.

New Furuno fishfinder, plus transducer, and pretty much a purging of alot of old electrical wiring from old electronics. First owner had just left all the old wires in when he upgraded some of his electronics. Going to take out some older, redundant equipment - cb radio, loran and so on.

Take off the heat exchanger, clean out the tubes, change the water pump impeller, roto-rooter the intake for the washdown pump, change both fuel filters.

Traditional bottom paint along with all the zincs.

Do the engine and tranmission oil and filters/screens after the first run - get her hot.

Fun is....

Too early?

With the beautiful weather of last week, two 60 plus degree days, I almost took the cover off. Glad now I didn't after last week's storm. She needs a cleaning, and I hope it's ready to float. Plan on being at the Weymouth launch before by birthday on April 30th. Nice thing about putting it away right, is there usually are not issues in the Spring.

Heading to Disney with the family this friday for a week returning 3/31.

Pick up the boat from storage first week in April. Usually need a weekend to wax/compound, tighten screws, check things out. Hope to splash her by mid april to do a little cod fishing. Last year I was in by first week in April.

Bought a 1998 Carolina Skiff J16 on 2/24 and I've been out twice this month for short stints working out the bugs. Plug caps were stripped and need to be replaced. Ignition coil, new prop, fuel/water seperator, and something for the carb is being ordered. It's being serviced now and it should be ready today. All my gear is ready and I have ordered a new fishfinder which should be in 1st week of April. Bought a new/used handheld VHF from my local tackle shop along with a new trolling rod/reel setup. I don't want to have any excuse for not being ready in time for the 1st run.

I am shooting for the last week of April, so if I am lucky we are talking 3rd week of May!!!

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry
