What the hell is going on with the canal dredging?

This might be a major snafu for alot of anglers and local businesses. Whats the story? Are they really going to dredge during the herring run? That should help rebuild the run.....NOT. With all the dirty water and the silt plume that the dredges cause the beaches are going to be a lot more crowded because there will be huge areas of the canal where NO Fishing will be the rule for the time being. What a Pain in the ass and the timing by the COE couldn't be any worse. This is not a good thing.
