no doc. Ive been burned enough to know the drill. Keep it clean is #1 keep it moist at all times under a clean bandage is #2 and #3 is to use an antibotic with pain relief like neosporin.
It will heal in good time.

Not fun....guess those pleasure sticks have that whole pleasure/pain thing going on.
Rubber burns are probably similar to the days I spent as a hot tar roofer.
Stick and blister.
The worst one I had though was actually from Dunkin Donuts. Grabbed a coffee at a drive through before a trip to Newport and as I transfered it to the cup holder the top popped off and it poured down my arm. I was wearing a sweater inside of a leather jacket and it just wicked it right up. It was hot, but I pulled the "I'm a man, its not that bad" routine. Pulled over in Jamestown to take of the sweater and the skin from my arm came off with the sweater. Burns suck.
That one is nice...right on the joint too.

the pain thing is funny. Hurt like hell the day it happened, then for 2 or 3 days it didnt hurt much at all. Now its really buring.. go figure.
when i was 18 i pressed glowing red steel agianst my ear. yeah that was a good one.. Another time a guy i was blowing glass with branded my back with a 2,000 degree glob of glass. yeoch... i quiver just thnkng about that one because it was so big, but i'll take a 2000 degree glass burn over 450 molten rubber any day of the week... that rubber was like napalm.

Hope you heal up real even.Sorry to see that this happened to you. No hard work goes unpunished I guess. I try to be real careful myself with the molten lead and all, its always on my mind when I ladle from the pot,one slip and it gets ugly fast. ]

Man that had to really hurt. I haven't got a bad steam burn in a while last one a back up into a return line with a sweaty tee shirt on nice second and third degree burns across the back. ThomT

Polysporin better than neosporin. Lesser incidence of sesitization(developement of allergic reaction).
Heal up soon
