Thats only 1 of about 100 of that were built back in the late 70s.
Back when I was in high school, I had Brad Sears as a shop teacher at Blue Hill vo tech (he has has a radio shop talking about cars/motors)
He was involved in the building of those cars !

I know a guy who has an original 70 r/t (think that's the year) with a 440 six pack in it. Everyone tells him they never made this particular car, then they find out the thing is worth $50k or some ridiculous number. I agree it's not worth the money but then again it is 4/4 of cars that belonged to Bo Duke...and since it's signed by the cast it's very definitely not a daily driver and whoever buys is is loaded enough to afford it...

Looks like $500K would have been a bargain. It made the front page on Ebay ,now at over $ 2.3 Mil. Some people just have way too much $ to burn I guess.

well it's either scammers pumping it up or it's real. Wish him the best. I have a feeling he's on hard times if he's getting rid of that car. It was at 527 yesterday so don't know what all the big fuss is now in the last 12 hours.

On May-02-07 at 09:49:58 PDT, seller added the following information:

This is for those of you who think this may be a scam. We had some less than honest people drive up the auction yesterday and for that we apologize. Please follow this link to a CBS news story done here at Johns residence several days ago. http://www.cbs2.com/video/?id=38315@kcbs.dayport.com
