F'ing Seagull..

should be in the grumpy forum, but I'm not old enough to post there

So...
So I was live-lining pogies Sunday morning with an uda (undisclosed angler) at a udl. had three nice bass already, mid 20-s, 2 released, one in the box....

turn to make a new pass when I get a big swirl... broomtail 1ft across slaping at it, she turned on the bait and we saw a nice healthy profile... 30+ easy...

as she turned back on the bait... a flying sea rat swooped, grabbed the pogie off the surface, and tryed to fly away... I ripped it out of the gulls beak.. but alas the girl went dancing elsewhere... two more passes through there.e... nada...

So you caught 3 nice size bass and you're complaining?

I'm completely confused.

Cool

street sweeper loaded with #8 shot would have taken care of that.

The missed fish was 30-40. Big thick fish.
just seeing it was cool though.
Spence I'd complain about not getting a 50 in the middle of a blitz of 40's bro!

Wait..
why I am responding.
You are on my sh-t list right now

I feel your pain, though the problem was keeping the 15-20 pound fish off the pogie so the 30+ pound fish could get to it , also probably at said UDL...

Ever since a "sky rat" flew into my 11' Lami bait rod down the beach while I was baiting up and it cracked me in the noggin so hard my knees buckled I've seen them in a bad light also...

plugging during a blitz is great with eager birds around.

they think twice when they see a gator blue charging up under the plug.

What is as frustrating as that is plugging over a blitz and hooking a sea rat in the wing with two trebbles. By the time I got my plug back the blitz was gone.
