Blues

Got into some nice bluefish action on the south side of the cape last weekend. The white tape mark on the rod is 28 inches. They were taking a squid pattern but probably would have hit just about anything but sometimes blues will surprise you by being fussy in the spring. Anyway a lot of fun!

Beautiful. I have never caught a bluefish on a flyrod. It is one of my goals this season. If you run into any more do me a favor. Tell them to see a big bald man up north on the rocks off Marblehead. Those yellow eyed crazy demons are always looking for a fight.

I got a 10 lber on my 9wt last year. He ran like hell with the drag cranked, damn near broke my finger when I thumbed the reel to slow him down. Then he came flying 3 or 4 feet out of the water. Great fight, can't wait to get another.
