Guys, for those of you who don't know already, Dave wraps an unbelievable rod. He did one for me this spring and I love it.

Is it brand new? and how does it compare to the 1205?

I used it half a season, it's been well cared for.
According to Lamiglas, the ratings are:
GSB 120 1L rated 2-6 oz.
XRA 120 5 rated 1-5 1/2 oz.
Lami does way overrate their blanks.
I wouldn't throw 5 oz. with either one.

The 120 1L compares more with the 1203 (old 1204).

The 1205 is more like the 120 1M. I throw 4 oz all the time on mine.

The Arra blanks are rated more accurately than the GSB blanks.
