Target stripers and the blues will be sure to show up. Definitely use wire leaders and don't let her go anywhere near their mouths. My wife got nipped a few years ago and still has't let me forget about it.

Working birds. If your confined to the shore, lots of blood bait. Chum, sit and wait. Like the others said, wire leaders all day.

"Bluefish Tips" So long as they're cooked same day they come out great.

all kidding aside - if you're in a boat, troll a swimming lure (if it dives even better) 3 - 4kts and you'll be on them in no time.
They are a great fighting fish, and have saved many a day when the bass are not biting.

don't stick your fingers in their mouth. Teeth look pretty sharp....

I love fighting blues. I get them on the beach every year in August. 7' spincaster, 25lb. test, with an orange roberts bomber single hook...no leader...just cast to the edge of the school. Haven't lost one in a long time. What a fun hour that turns out to be as they come a boilin' up the beach.

Coffee and bluefish. great combo.

Easiest setup is a 2-3oz Kastmaster and a good heavy duty(130lb) 12-18" steel leader.Indestructible combo.
