First Tuna This Season

We departed the dock ~3am yesterday heading for Stellwagon. Our game plan was to start trolling by 430am if we didn't see any topwater action along the way.

We worked from PTown all the way up to the BE Bouy and covered both sides of the bank for a few hours. Wasn't until around 930am that we started seeing signs of life (whales & birds).

We were working a 4 rod spread on my buddies boat; spreader bars with birds and daisy chains. I saw the tuna make a sideways pass across the farthest spreader bar then it re-appeared directly behind it about 20 feet. With a blink of the eye, the fish closed the gap and struck - game on!

Took about 20 minutes to get into the boat. Fish taped out to 49". I'm amazed how solid and heavy these fish are.

Some pics in order below.....

I like tuna...... My invite to dinner must of gotten lost in the mail as well. Dammit! Friggin postman.

Nice job Mike

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.
