I've caught two before with yellow tag they usually track the stripers with tag. Expect fish patch from the mail and some info on the tagged fished you caught.

Tight lines....

Striper...I'm lovin it...

I have caught 12+ tagged fish, and most of the programs are great - I especially enjoy the fish history. But I caught one a few years back that said I was eligible for a $1000 drawing from the Hudson River Foundation, and they sucked. I sent in all of the info, and they sent me back a form letter requesting the same information that I had given them (they even highlighted the answers I had provided!) and demanded the tag before they would enter me in the drawing (which I really didn't care about) and they never gave any info to me re the fish history (what I wanted). If I catch another from them I'm gonna send them the # and tell them to go F themselves.

The first week in June I caught a tagged fish in the canal. It had a green tag said reward $125 dollars from USFWS with a #800 number to call. Called them up gave them the info on the fish weight, lenght, and tag #. A week later they sent me a certificate of participation and some info on that fish. It was tagged in the Rappahnnock River in VA. Two weeks after that the check came in the mail. They also sent me a flier with the colors of other taggs and the reward. I think there was a $25 , Hat, and something else can't remember.

Before I left fishing that morning my wife was pissed at me because we were going out to breakfast but I went fishing. When i showed her the tag she was happy for some reason. Well when the check came she claimed she needed some money for her putting up with me.

Now when I go fishing she tells me "Catch another taggged fish will ya" So my response is they are releasing some fish around the canal for more research so I have to go .
