waterproof digital camera recomendations
i am in the market for another digi. from experience what can be recomended. my only requirements are that it is waterproof and has some durability since (i'm not kidding) i broke atleast 5 digital cameras in the last 3-4 years. you would think that how expensive they are there would be some reasonable way of repairing them that would be worth it. thanks in advance.

Buy a camera at either Costco or BJs. They will replace anything you break for free. I have a Sony Cybershot - the slim one. I bought the Marine Case for it ($199) but its virtually indestructable. Dropped it many times on the deck. The only problem is that it doesnt float.

look at canon sd750 with the canon marine pack waterproof case or the nikon s7c with a fantasea waterproof case but I prefer the Canon sd750 more.

Pentax WP10 or whatever is the newest WP model as they update about 2 x per year. THEEE fisherman's camera...6 megapixels, submersable to 5 meters, 3X zoom, the works as far as extras and is beat me up tough. I put it in the shoulder pocket and take it everywhere...Squibby last fall, etc etc

Andre,
Take a look this link: http://www.travelgearblog.com/archiv...al-camera.html. It is pretty recent so it should be relevant.

OLYMPUS 770 SW... things is waterproof up to 33ft., shock proof, (if fishing from the rocks... I own one... and it is sweet when out on the rocks at night. its a bit pricey... but it pays to have a camera completely waterproof.
