Fish ON!

http://break.com/index/the-fish-hunters.html

Kinda looks like a fun way to get rid of these parasites.

Watch at about 3 minutes it's funny as hell!

Those are silver carp. A women jet skiing hit one of those and broke part of her spine and her nose in 2003 and nearly drowned. They are so abundant that there is talk of feeding them to prisoners in the midwest.

thats my kind of fishin! well except for having to worry about being hit in the head by a fairly large and certainly heavy fish.

of course that's a good problem to have i suppose.

Angry Shocking

Don't know how I feel about putting electrodes in the water to produce a shock to get the fish to behave like that. Seems a bit much to me.

i've been trout fishin

in doug pond in Natick a few times with it being
real quiet ya know........
and your transfixed on the water not really paying
attention to whats happening on your right
by the mini beach there...
and a huge carp 30lbs or so will leap out of the water
without all that much noise but then they kinda belly flop
and the water crash sound scares the crap outa ya for
a few seconds...sending shivers up your spine

I've heard big carp do that before, sounds like a Ford Vici flopping into the water.

Had to bump this, just showed it to my son!
