Spey setups

For boat and surf?

Make sure your gettng into spey, or two handed rods. Research both. Most saltwater applications may be better with a two hander. More backbone along with casting distance.
Bought a spey a few years ago, have not done enough with it. Hopefully more this coming year.
Situations that dictated no backcast got me interested with the spey.

Spey Day

There's going to be a Spey casting day organized by a bunch of guys on stripermoon.com down on the canal, late this month or in early October. Can't remember for sure. They're all spey guys and are very willing to share and let you try out gear, etc... I think the post on it is on the main board.
