killing dogfish

I got a little pissed off recently. I know that many of you hate dogfish and blah blah blah, but there is not really any reason to kill them. I was fishing at a public beach, that I like a lot, last week and when I was walking back to my car.. what do I see washed up? A good size dogfish (like 3 ft) dead on the beach with it's nose cut off. C'mon. WTF? It looked pretty grotesque and probably will piss off the people who enjoy the beach in the morning. Also, 30 feet from that, the folks that had been fishing there had "forgot" all their trash. Beer cans and wrappers and whatever.. Nice work guys! leave a mangled fish (senseless, unless you were trying to attract MORE dogfish) and all you sh@t on the beach! #^&#^&#^&#^&s... I don't think that people like this are helping to keep up all fishing. The police in that area tend to be tolerant of late night fishing, even though the beach closes at 11pm. Crap like this, I think, could change that. Just my 2 cents. Long story short...don't be a douchebag- no need to mutilate these harmless fish. If you're not catching stripers, try another spot. I caught stripers and blues that night and yes, one dogfish - I was down about 100 yards from them. a short walk.
