Butterfly Jigs

I heard that these jigs were being used around the Race Point area with good success for bass. Anyone here use them? I'm always looking for alternatives to wire line and this looks like a possibility.

If you do use them, what size? technique?

Both the Shimano and Williamson jigs, although other's would work as well. Smaller sizes, inch wise 2 to 4 in length, technique varies dependent upon drift, current and so on, sometimes do as you would jigging for small BFT, other times medium fast retrieve, other times just like fishing for cod close to the bottom.

Not alot of people doing it, but you are right, wire gets old.

Bass Pro Shops makes a great jig. And at $9.00 a piece with hooks it a better deal.
