Boat up on rocks mouth of Merrimack
Took this photo this afternoon. Boat about 3/5 of the way down the Salisbury Beach side jetty and up on the rocks. Report from one of the guys who was camping there was that it happened last night and there was an ambulance brought in to the boat ramp, so there must have been some kind of injuries. Don't know the story - so if anyone has any details please post a reply.

Seems like with the GPS units out there - that this would be a thing of the past, as you could go right through the entrance dropping 'breadcrumbs' that you could use later for reference if there was no moon, fog, etc. This boat is nowhere near the end of the jetty, it is closer to the campground than the end of the jetty. The first thing that went through my mind was that the operator must have been impaired to end up here - hope that was not the case and that there were no serious injuries.
Reminds me of the other boater from about 5 years ago that tried to beat one of the party boats in and launched his boat up on the rocks.

Wow that looks like a mess. With all of the people that are out there who dont have a clue what their doing you have to wonder if that was one of those people or maybe the boat just lost power. It really makes you wonder. Hopefully like you said there was no one hurt bad.

We went out yesterday morning on the Capt. Lady and saw this boat up on the rocks. Early in the morning nobody around the boat, when we came back in late in the day, the boat was being emptied. Don't think if it was pulled off the rocks it would float, the hull looked pretty bad. As for the fishing it was O.K. had a nice bunch of haddock, weather was great. Also very foggy early that morning.

Unfortunately, many people who buy boats have more money than brains. I don't think they realize how dangerous boating can be.

Here's a few I took on my way out and on my way back in Saturday... Mike ( Boat US) was waiting for high tide, he had the bags under it and was preparing to pull it off the rocks...
He missed the tip of the Jetty by 100yds or more, 20 yards the other way, he may have made it through the cut in the elbow...
