Modifying the SS bullet - opinions
Just curious what you are doing to modify these plugs. I own a bunch, but they seem to take a back seat in my arsenal.
I'd be interested in knowing if and how you are "loading them" and what you are doing for tail hooks.
Thanks

You should try to fish them more often, they're a great plug especially when there's smaller bait around. I don't think you'd need to load them, they cast like, well, a bullet. I swapped out the rear treble for a siwash, but found that it was getting into a lot of fish's gills when they were hooked on the front treble, so I just fish it with the one front treble and it works great.
Also, I was reminded by the other post on SS darters, I change out the hooks on all of their products to 4x VMC's.

You took my fingers right off the keyboard! EELSKIN
Frankie, One thing I would add is they fish deep in a calm sea. Areas with heavy structure I would use a lighter version (Green eye) or a certain wooden version!!!

I use only a rear siwash to make it as weedless as possible and fish it in the areas that are full of bubble weed. It comes through the weedy stuff nicely, and when it gets stuck it pulls out easily. It's a pretty good producer on rocky points, the kind that get a lot of that kind of weed. My best color is black but I don't try too many other colors. I have never had a problem with a missed hookup or lost fish because I'm using just a single hook. In fact the hookups are solid.
