Guide Inserts
Anyone know if replacing a ceramic insert is something I can do myself? Can the insert be replaced, or does the whole guide have to be replaced? I went to a local shop and the guy wanted to send it out and I wouldn't have it back for a couple of weeks. And he was going to have the whole guide replaced. Any help or suggestion is appreciated.

Thanks
It's the top guide (tip) of a Lami. Any recommendations on where to get it done quickly? I live in Easton, MA near Taunton/Mansfield.

you can do the tip yourself, heat it up and it should pull right off, most times they are held in place with hot glue..

You'll have to go to a shop to get a stick of ferrule cement anyway--might as well just bring the rod and have them do it this time. Most shops do it for the cost of the tip.

I recommend M&D's in Wareham. Done on the spot, call first.

They were going to send a rod out to do a tip? Most shops would have it done by the time you finished telling them why it cracked.

Ocean State B&T in Providence. I guess the guy who does the work is not located at the shop.
