Fall Plug Bags...
MtnBrz1 got me thinking that it's time for this thread again:
With the Fall Run just around the corner, what's in your Plug Bag for big fish along the NE coast?

I have a related question...
This time of year, would it makes sense to have TWO plug-bags?
One for the night time and one for the day?
Trying to get myself organized at each outing is getting to be time-consuming...pulling out the night-plugs (swimmers, darters, bottle plugs, etc) and replacing them with the day stuff (tins and topwater).
??

Most times my plug bag is sort of an ongoing process. As the season progresses I'll add or subtract differtent things or just color change. I tend to move around during the night and I'll adjust accordingly from there. As far as different bags go, I have a big one and a small one depending on how far I'm fishing from the car, or if I'm on a jetty. Except for the canal I always, always have a couple of bucktails, a darter, a needlefish, a chicken scratch bomber and a Kastmaster no matter where I am.

I have a jig bag and a couple of plug bags. The jig bag is for the Ditch. The other plug bags are one for carrying and one for storing. Keep the one you carry with the currently active stuff and the other for keeping unused stuff organized.
Right now I'd have all sizes and types of of swimmers. I'd also have stubby needlefish in dark and light colors , I'd have couple full size in black and white. poppers in lots of colors (lots of colors on everything means black white yellow and green) . I'd have a couple of big , pencil poppers in yellow and some whitish for long casting where needed. Always carry a few bucktail jigs. As far as tins go , I like Kastmasters for all around but like to carry a needle eel and a Deadly #^^^^& for albies and bonito this time of year. Lastly have some ball jigs and an assortment of rubber grubs , slugs and fin-s-fish.
For eels all you need is the bucket and some hooks. I seldom use a swivel cause I throw convention using braid.

i always have some habs needles in both the small and medium sizes. colors - black, olive, pink, hell, they all work! a couple little necks for the days, a jig or 2, a few bombers in black, yellow, or white, bottles in the same colors, and maybe a darter.
eels, they never work.
