I just moved back to MA last week from the west, and I missed it bad. Thinking about a trip south so I don't have to wait another six months.

i've been trying for a week to pack it up. then my buddy came back from jersey with some live clams. and well.. ya know what happened..
of course got skunked.. but what ever. was thinking of maybe hitting first light today. dunno if its worth the effort (aka being friggan freezing) to get skunked again. but i really really really wanna.
i'm thinkin some southward trips are comin very soon. we refuse to quit.

Considering all that I've been ignoring in my life for the last 6 months, the winter often isn't long enough.

Ell No! A recovery group would indicate a problem, there is no problem, except for winter

a much better idea
would be to trade with our warmer weather neighbors to the south
for fishing visits and or privaledges to either the ocean or for lake striper fishing opportunities
to break up the winter into manageable
segments instead of one long no fishing season.

Larry, we already have one, S-B.com! We can sit around in a circle with keyboards or laptops and...well, best not go there.
Your right John, us Bass fishermen have no problem, it's the rest of the population that are n-n-n-nuts.

I have also not fished for 2 day now........
November is my least favorite month of the year. Fishing up here slows to a crawl, days get real short and you can't ski! However I'm turning my thoughts there already. Stowe got some snow yesterday....

wowowowowowow! that was one burning zinger!
but ya know, the reality of it is i probably will fish straight into next season. gonna keep going till i catch something. i have to at this point.
but then the ultimate fishing problem.. if i hook into something.. i' wont be able to stop. it will be right back to "tomorrow.. theres always tomorrow" or in my case.. "next tide... theres always next tide" until i get back into my 3+ month long skunking. then i will be right back where i am now. and will have to fish till i catch something again. and by then it will next season..
so i either hang it up now.. or just never stop..

Hi, my name is Tim, and it's been 6 days since my last fish.
I used to sneak a cast here or there, but my family finally caught on, and would sarcastically ask "Are you going fishing AGAIN?"
I know I have a "problem", but it doesn't hurt anyone, and it doesn't cost a lot of money (initially).
I figure after the next week, I'll shift my ayyention to trout and then wait for the first ice to form, then it's "shanty time"!

I do the same thing with switching gears to skiing, the only problem is, it freakin' cost money to ski!!! and I don't have drive 2 hours and shell out $60 every time I want to fish!!!
I hung it up after this weekend and I'm already missin' it. Although I forgot I have this monday off, can you say road trip to Rhody????
anybody interested in meeting up? PM me...
