CFL update
It's been a while and I figured I'd update everyone with the results after a few months of usage...We're saving average of 132 kwh of use since converting to cfl in any fixture we could. This works out to $8.02 delivery and $14.15 supplier services, so we're saving around $22 a month just in conversion to cfl in all the lites. Not bad everything pays for itself in just about 6 months in the savings alone!

We've been saving between $14 and $26 a month now on cfl based on previous bills.

us too, about 75% as bright as normal bulbs, I've been calling them the "Spence" lightbulbs.

WHY???
We've gotten very much used to them. Still need the brighter lites in places like the bathrooms but I'm still glad we switched them. This bill today says it too.

yes i started using those, $.99 each at True Value. They turn 60 watts of brightness into 13 watts. The light is a little softer too, but in a good way. If it ain't bright enuff, put in some more. 2 CFLs at 13 watts a pop is still under half of the usage of a 60 watt bulb.
