Charley Soares kept my up past my bedtime...
Hi Friends,
Charley Soares kept my up past my bedtime...
Actually Charley’s new book “ Stemming the Tide” kept me reading past my bed time. A great read, and just in time for a Christmas stocking stuffer. It’s not so much a “how to” book as it is tales and stories, but there are a lot of fishing hints along the way. This is the most enjoyable fishing book I have read in a long time.
I hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

I hope it isn't another compendium of his 30 years of stories to the fisherman.
Charley is a great guy, he wanted to be Phil Schwin, it somewhat worked out for him, I think he is a rare sight in Westport and Pandanarm these days, at least I never see him. I used to fish with him alot.

Hi All,
I don’t know if some of these stories have been published before but they are fresh to me. For us older guys it brings back fond memories, for you younger folk you will get a glimpse of the way it was, especially if you lived in the Fall River area. I’m originally from Swansea.

Thanks for the information. It sounds like a good read. I just ordered Zeno's book this morning and was trying to think of other books to help me make it through the winter. And, it's just in time for the holidays. My dad grew up fishing that area so I'm sure he'll enjoy it.
