I want to share this because Joe summarized Bob Greenes Legacy far better than I did.

Donnie ,
Thank you for posting the Obituary of my great friend Bob Greene.

My family and I along with his many friends and family just attended Bobs celebration of life at a wonderful warm Church in Seekonk, MA.

Donnie, Bob was also my mentor and a mentor of many young men who enjoyed the sport of striped bass fishing.

Bob fought for striped bass regulations in the 70s and 80s and is a prime reason we are enjoying the catches we are seeing today.

Bob was also a tournament striped bass fisherman who won many tournaments in the 70s and 80s. He was always on the leader board.

Bob enjoyed striper fishing with his friends on his legendary boat the LOGY
POGY and with his buddies on the SEATREAT,EARLYBIRD,FORTUNA, PLAYED FOR IT,RONJON and the STRIKEZONE.

Bob was also a great blue water fisherman fishing the northeast canyons on the EARLYBIRD with caption Ned Barton where catches of yellowfin tuna, bluefin tuna, albacore tuna, bigeye tuna, swordfish and mahi mahi were
normal catches.

One memory I will never forget and share with my oldest son is the time my son at age 5 caught his first bass on Bobs boat on a cocktail cruise to Prudence Island. Both my boys are hooked for life and carry on his legacy of winning striper tournaments.

He will be missed by many especially for his great jokes at 4:00am and his boiled hot dogs with onions served for breakfast at 6:00am on the way to the fishing grounds.

He will be missed by his family, friends and life long fishing partner, John Treat.

When you catch that next elusive 60lb. bass give it a good once over, it may be Bob looking back at you.

Donnie again thanks for taking the time to post Bobs obituary
sincerly
Joe Lombardi
